Bennville Limousin

 Committed to Quality and Performance

Immigrating from Germany back in 1981 where we farmed with our parents as tenant farmers, the dream of owning our own farm brought us to Canada. Starting  with the purchase of an ongoing dairy farm at the time, our operation went through many changes through the years. Where our parents still supported and helped us out during extented visits in the beginning , today the daily work and duties rest on the next generation .Our daughters and son in laws with family are responsible for todays farm operation.

A combination of cash cropping, a small herd of purebred Limousin cows as well as an Equine facility with  breeding, boarding and training of mainly Hanoverian horses  are part of todays business.

The photos above offer you an insight look into our operation where we care deeply not only for our livestock but equally so for our land. With No-Till/ Minimum Till we constantly try to improve soil structure and soil life. We have drained problem areas but at the same time created wetlands, have maintained fencerows as integral part not only as wind breaks but more so as needed environment and safety zones for birds and a variety of wildlife and created wild flower strips along some fields.
